Audi announced the launch of the all-new Audi R8 5.2 FSI for India. The R8 will be powered by a V10 quattro engine and built using the lightweight Audi Space Frame (ASF) design. The R8 takes 3.9 seconds for the 0-100 kph dash and tops out at 316 kph. The Audi R8 5.2 FSI will be priced at Rs. 1,32,49,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).

We had earlier posted that Aston Martin would soon be opening its showroom in Mumbai (read post here) and we also said that cars will soon be seen on the roads. We got to see one just the other day as it made its way to its rightful owner. Aston Martin is finally here and at a showroom near you in Mumbai! There’s hardly any car enthusiast who cannot identify this famous car marque with the famed ‘wings’ as its badge. This British Automotive company founded in 1913, already a hit around the world, is now quite literally spreading its wings into India. Aston Martin will have its first dealership open in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai, courtesy the folks at Infinity who currently are BMW dealers in Mumbai. 

Mercedes-Benz today launched its flagship super sports car for the Indian market: the SLS AMG. Speaking on the occassion, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, Mr. Ola Kaellenius, encapsulated his aspirations for the product, “Today India joins the elite ranks of the first few RHD markets globally to launch this mean machine. Given the strong demand for this car, I assure you that it is really a very strong and positive statement and shows the esteem that India as a market holds for us.”

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd is bringing its iconic sports car to enthusiasts around the country with the launch of its “Gran Tour De Nissan 370Z”. The Gran Tour will showcase the Nissan 370Z at company dealerships and key malls in ten cities across the country.
