Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will unveil its 'Concept Global Small' (show model), a concept car based on the features of compact, affordability, and high fuel efficiency at the 81st Geneva International Motor Show which runs from March 1 through March 13. Mitsubishi Motors will display a total of 12 vehicles including vehicles already on sale in Europe, in addition to the 100% electric i-MiEV.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has launched the much awaited small car the Alto K10. The Alto K10 will be available in two trims – the LXi and the VXi and will boast of a refined and fuel efficient 67bhp, 998cc, three cylinder engine that will give fuel economy figures of 20.2 kilometers to the litre, according to the company. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. claims that the car goes form 0-100 kmph in 13.3 seconds.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) on Tuesday announced that the pre-order bookings of the Nissan Micra, which will be officially launched nationwide on July 14, 2010,  has crossed 1000 in just four weeks since the company showrooms started accepting bookings from the last week of May 2010.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG today annouced a broad strategic cooperation that will enable both groups to already realise benefits quickly from a range of concrete projects as well as sharing of best practices. The two groups also announced an equity exchange that will give the Renault-Nissan Alliance a 3.1% stake in Daimler and Daimler a 3.1% in Renault and a 3.1% stake in Nissan.

Update: Ford Figo is launched now! Ford India has just announced and given the world at large a preview of the upcoming Ford Figo which should be launched early next year. The Figo is part of Fords 'One Vision' and 'One Team' and 'One World' project.
