In most markets that Mercedes Benz has a presence in has registered a good growth for the company in the month of January 2010 with India leading the way with more than 400% growth.

Mercedes India has begun the New Year with a bang. After having got a good response at the Auto Expo in Delhi, the comapny has also posted a sales figure of 403 units (wholesale) for the month of January 2010. The company claims this is also best January they have had in its history.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) recorded 12% increase in sales for the month of July 2009 with 4,857 units as against 4,337 units sold in July 2008.

The car market worldwide is going through a grim phase, and Toyota has joined the bandwagon by reducing its production in India. Even though the company hasn’t reduced its investment in the country, the way it has done in international markets, it has now scaled down production by 30% in the month of December.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd recorded an overall growth of 65.8% over the same month last year. Exports grew by 168.4% while domestic sales grew by 9.9% over October 2007.
