Renault India will unveil its latest salvo, a small car, on the 29th of October. The car to be called Pulse is the third of the five new products that the French carmaker plans to launch by the end of 2012. It has already introduced a D-segment sedan in the Fluence and a luxury SUV, which is the Koleos.

Renault launches the Fluence; read our first impression

Renault has launched its business sedan the Fluence in India. The Fluence, which is the first of the five new products Renault plans to bring to India in the span of two years, is available in two versions - a petrol and a diesel. The petrol which comes with a 2-litre engine that makes 137bhp is priced at Rs. 14.40 lakh,  ex-showroom in Delhi. The diesel which uses a more powerful but almost as efficient iteration of the 1.5-litre four cylinder unit powering the erstwhile Logan (also now known as the Mahindra Verito), is priced cheaper at Rs. 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom, delhi.

Renault to launch Fluence by Mid-2011

Renault will bring out its first offering in the Indian car market in the form of its sedan - Fluence. The sedan is  is based on the Renault/Nissan C platform platform and is sized between the compact family saloon C-segment and the upper-medium segment. Renault made its intentions clear when they unveiled its 18-24 month road map which will see the Fluence being launched by mid 2011. The Fluence is a D-segment sedan that will be manufactured at the new Renault-Nissan greenfield manufacturing facility in Chennai.

Renault to Launch its cars in 2011

After announcing its intention to make an independent foray in the Indian market, we will soon be able to see Renault launching its cars into the Indian car market. Mr. Marc Nassif, MD of Renault India said, "Since April this year, we have moved very fast in getting our product plans in place. We are ahead of plan on selecting and appointing dealers and are on track to meet the challenging targets that we have set for ourselves in India and to ensure that we live up to the brand promise that Renault will bring to its Indian customers."

Renault Nissan Plant receives ISO Certification for Quality and Environment Management

Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. (RNAIPL)  today announced that it has received ISO certifications for Quality - ISO 9001 and Environment Management system - ISO 14001. The plant has also received Homologation – whole vehicle type approval for European market in a short span of time from the start of production on 23rd May, 2010. RNAIPL receives these 3 certificates, at a significant time when it is ramping up production and gearing up to commence Export operations of its Global compact hatch - Nissan Micra. Mahindra-Renault Launches Logan Play

Mahindra-Renault this time has launched the sporty version of its Logan known as the Logan Play. The car only features cosmetic changes with no changes made to its engine. The Logan Play will be available with 1.4-litre Petrol and 1.5-litre Diesel engines variant. the petrol variant is available for Rs 5,41,850 and the diesel for Rs 6,68,649 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Renault Puts a Brake on Its Indian Plans
