Porsche inaugurates a new dealership in Ahmedabad

Porsche has inaugurated a new showroom in Ahmedabad. This is the company's first dealership in Gujarat. Along with New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Chandigarh, this becomes the overall sixth Porsche Centre in India and the second in the western part of the country.

Porsche to highlight its Hybrid Technololgy at the 81st Geneva Motorshow

Porsche Centre now in New Delhi

Porsche opened its state-of-the-art Porsche Centre, New Delhi at the prestigious Hotel Ashok. The facility offers 4,000 sq. ft. of showroom space with six sales consultants being permanently available for visitor enquiries. Now completed, the site is home to the entire Porsche product range, including the latest arrival – the new Porsche Cayenne.

We also got a chance to speak to Mr. James Bourne, Regional Operational Manager, Porsche Middle East. Well here's the Porsche story. Q. Could you throw some light on how you’ve managed to reduce fuel consumption on the new Cayenne? A. We have managed to reduce the weight of the new Cayenne considerably by using a special combination of materials across the vehicle from the body to the chassis that have considerably helped in the vehicle’s lightweight construction and have increased the performance. The engineers and designers have reduced a substantial amount of weight with the panoramic sun roof itself, which is now available as an option, and this trend is seen throughout the vehicle. It’s a more dynamic car than its predecessor and sportier.

Porsche India Launches Porsche Cayenne in Mumbai

A long awaited model has finally arrived. Precision Cars India, the official Porsche importer for India, unveils the second generation Porsche Cayenne at Porsche Centre Mumbai today. Speaking on the occasion, Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa said, "The new Cayenne features a completely new exterior and newly defined luxury interior. Yet in today's world, it's clearly not enough to pour on more power; there must be a clear, simultaneous improvement in fuel consumption. We have optimized this objective to a maximum by reducing CO2 emissions of up to 26% and a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 23% less. This car clearly brings a new dimension to the SUV market."

Porsche Panamera Wins Two Indian Auto Awards

Porsche Panamera Launched in India

Porsche India has launched the Panamera for the Indian car market. The Panamera is Porsche’s first four-door sedan which went into production as the earlier prototypes like the 1991 Porsche 989 prototype and the 4-door 911-based prototype never went into production.
