Lexus has announced a Touring Edition of its flagship 2011 LS460 saloon, which it hopes will “attract younger buyers to the LS line-up.” The high end saloon will be offered with both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.To “add excitement” to what we believe is the world’s most comfortable luxury car, Lexus has added a few enhancements inside and out, such as 19in five-spoke alloy wheels (AWD version gets 18in alloys) a special Smoky Granite Mica exterior, a sport kit and grille.

Aston Martin will once again collaborate with with renowned Italian design house Zagato in the 50th anniversary year of the iconic DB4GT Zagato. The first product of this renewed working partnership will be shown for the first time at the famous Villa D’Este Concours on 21st May 2011, with a racing debut at Nürburgring later in the month.

The car will be available in two variants; the XV and the XV (premium).

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has launched the much awaited small car the Alto K10. The Alto K10 will be available in two trims – the LXi and the VXi and will boast of a refined and fuel efficient 67bhp, 998cc, three cylinder engine that will give fuel economy figures of 20.2 kilometers to the litre, according to the company. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. claims that the car goes form 0-100 kmph in 13.3 seconds.

The Audi A7 Sportback was unveiled in Munich. Audi is targeting a new market segment with the A7 Sportback. The large five door model with the accentuated rear end brings together with the elegance of a coupe, the comfort of a sedan and the practicality of a station wagon. The A7’s lightweight and the four V6 engines help give it some great efficiency. The 204 hp generating vehicle has CO2 emissions of just 139 grams per kilometer.

Update: Nissan Micra is launched now! Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) on Wednesday announced its product offensive with the commercial launch of its first ‘Made-in-India’ compact hatchback – the new Nissan ‘Micra’ in New Delhi. The Nationwide sales for the all-new Nissan Micra, which is been built on Nissan’s versatile ‘V’ platform would commence from July 15, 2010. Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, M.D. & CEO, NMIPL, Mr. G M Singh, Vice Chairman & MD, Hover Automotive India and Mr. Abhijeet Pandit, V.P –Sales, Marketing & After Sales, Hover Automotive India (HAI) along with dealers, trade partners and other key officials attended the event.
