Volvo Auto India firmed up plans for the launch of its latest offering Volvo XC60 on the 24th of November this year. Speaking on the occasion was  Paul de Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India. He said, "We believe in innovating for life and Volvo XC60 bears testimony to our commitment. It is essential to establish the differentiator in one’s offering, the XC60 will not only redefine our technological DNA, but will also form an integral part of our volume expansion strategy for India going forward."

Hyundai Motors India Limited are planning to launch their much awaited SUV, the Santa Fe this October. This will be the third SUV that HMIL has brought in to the country, the first two being, the Terracan and the Tucson. Santa Fe enters the Indian Car Market to try its luck at establishing Hyundais image as of a maker of capable and desirable SUVs.

The Volkswagen Polo 1.6 L Petrol variant has made its way into the Indian Car Market. The car will boast of a 1598 cc engine which will produce 104 bhp.  Its predecessor, the Polo 1.2 L Highline has a 1198 cc engine. The rest of the specifications being the same, the under-the-hood  change is bound to grab the attention of all those wishing to fly in this sturdy hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited introduced India to its newest beast, the Kizashi, at the Auto Expo 2010 held in New Delhi. The car is expected to hit the showrooms in India later this year. The Kizashi is Suzuki’s attempt to get some attention in the highly lucrative large mid-size sedan segment across the world. Suzuki has till date launched four sedans, the Esteem, the Baleno, the SX4 and the Swift Dzire. The Kizashi will be its fifth.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has launched the much awaited small car the Alto K10. The Alto K10 will be available in two trims – the LXi and the VXi and will boast of a refined and fuel efficient 67bhp, 998cc, three cylinder engine that will give fuel economy figures of 20.2 kilometers to the litre, according to the company. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. claims that the car goes form 0-100 kmph in 13.3 seconds.

Update: New Maruti Alto K10 is launched now. The all new facelifted Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is finally here! The car will be simultaneously launched on the 4th of August 2010 in three metros namely Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi. The car will be unveiled real-time via satellite in the three cities. The Audi A7 Sportback was unveiled in Munich. Audi is targeting a new market segment with the A7 Sportback. The large five door model with the accentuated rear end brings together with the elegance of a coupe, the comfort of a sedan and the practicality of a station wagon. The A7’s lightweight and the four V6 engines help give it some great efficiency. The 204 hp generating vehicle has CO2 emissions of just 139 grams per kilometer.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) today launched a promotional campaign for the Micra in association with Fever 104 FM. This first-of-its-kind activity will take place from Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23, 2010 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. This four-day initiative will include well-known Fever 104 RJs – Anurag Pandey and Karan Singh – conduct their shows LIVE from a Nissan Micra on the move.
