After an insignificant showcase in the early 90’s BMW re-launched their Motorrad (German for ‘motorcycle’) division in India to an insatiable luxury segment audience in December last year. Their array of bikes will be sold by Deutsche Motoren in Delhi and Navnit Motors in Mumbai and Bangalore.

The Lubrizol Corporation opened its new regional Applications and Business Center in Mumbai to support its Advanced Materials business segment.  Eric Schnur, president, Lubrizol Advanced Materials, presided over the opening ceremony. The office is located in Jaswanti Landmark office complex and boasts of a world class development and applications laboratory and also includes office space for commercial, technical and administrative talent.

Porsche opened its state-of-the-art Porsche Centre, New Delhi at the prestigious Hotel Ashok. The facility offers 4,000 sq. ft. of showroom space with six sales consultants being permanently available for visitor enquiries. Now completed, the site is home to the entire Porsche product range, including the latest arrival – the new Porsche Cayenne.

Shell Lubricants will host its  first  Technology Forum for Industrial sector in Kolkata on September 10, 2010 to showcase its Lubricant Technology Expertise. According to Mr. Donald Anderson, Country Head – Lubricants, Shell India Markets Pvt. Ltd., "India is one of the largest lubricant markets in the world with an approximate market size of 1.7 billion litres (according to various industry sources). With the economy back on track and being driven by a renewed focus on infrastructure, Shell Lubricants is keen to capitalise on this growth.  There is  a huge untapped, emerging market, especially in the Eastern states of India, which is of great interest to Shell Lubricants."

Audi, announced the opening of its new showroom in Mumbai. The Audi Mumbai West showroom was inaugurated by Andre Konsbruck, Executive Director Region Overseas, AUDI AG, Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Anand Rao, Managing Director, Audi Mumbai West. Also present on the occasion was leading actor, Bipasha Basu- owner of the Audi Q7.

Harley-Davidson India inaugurated its first dealership in Mumbai. Situated in Bandra West, Seven Islands Harley-Davidson the dealership is led by motor enthusiast Arjun Bafna. The 59th edition of the Mahindra Great Escape concluded  in Panvel, near Mumbai. There were over 70 vehicles from the Mahindra stable manoeuvring the challenging route. Mahindra customers from Mumbai and neighbouring areas participated in the rally. The offroading enthusiasts had a field day as they negotiated an arduous, undulating route of over 60 km to reach the finish point.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) today launched a promotional campaign for the Micra in association with Fever 104 FM. This first-of-its-kind activity will take place from Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23, 2010 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. This four-day initiative will include well-known Fever 104 RJs – Anurag Pandey and Karan Singh – conduct their shows LIVE from a Nissan Micra on the move.
