Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) today launched a promotional campaign for the Micra in association with Fever 104 FM. This first-of-its-kind activity will take place from Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23, 2010 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. This four-day initiative will include well-known Fever 104 RJs – Anurag Pandey and Karan Singh – conduct their shows LIVE from a Nissan Micra on the move.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) on Wednesday announced its product offensive with the commercial launch of its first ‘Made-in-India’ compact hatchback – the new Nissan ‘Micra’ in New Delhi. The Nationwide sales for the all-new Nissan Micra, which is been built on Nissan’s versatile ‘V’ platform would commence from July 15, 2010. Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) on Tuesday announced that the pre-order bookings of the Nissan Micra, which will be officially launched nationwide on July 14, 2010,  has crossed 1000 in just four weeks since the company showrooms started accepting bookings from the last week of May 2010.

Nissan Motor India today celebrated the start of production of its ‘Made-in-India’ compact car (hatchback) Nissan Micra from its manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai. Mr. Toshiyuki Shiga, Chief Operating Officer, Nissan Motor Company, cut the ribbon to mark the roll out of the first car off assembly line. Mr. Akira Sakurai, Managing Director & CEO, Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. joined the 1900 employees to commemorate the occasion.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd. (NMIPL) in line with its ongoing campaign to build brand awareness to reach out to its target and prospective customers has started a new ‘EXPOSURE MARKETING’ initiative at high footfall areas across key cities in India. Beginning in May 2010, this two-day activity will be held every Saturday and Sunday at a prominent mall in the city and will move to different location in a different city the following weekend thus covering the length and breadth of the country. The activity will continue until December 2010.

Nissan Motor India has started testing out the transportation of export cars to Europe. Accordingly, the first trial consignment of six cars left for Barcelona (Spain) from its Oragadam plant through the Ennore Port. The shipment after 22 days of transit time will reach Barcelona.

Renault-Nissan alliance today inaugurated the first dedicated Renault-Nissan alliance vehicle manufacturing plant to produce Micra.
