Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) announced that it has clocked domestic sales of 1593 nos. in the month of July 2011 compared to 1005 units in July 2010.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) today announced that it has clocked a domestic sales of 1632 nos. in the month of June 2011 compared to 77 units in June 2010. Since it went on sale last July, Nissan has already sold over 16,688 Micras in India, and it continues to be exported to world markets.

Nissan today announced its move into a new Corporate Office on Venkatnarayana Road, T. Nagar, Chennai. The 13,500 sq. ft. facility will cater to the growing operations of Nissan in India. The office will house employees of the Program Management team, Corporate Planning, Product Planning, Exports, After Sales, Finance, Communications and Human Resource Functions.

Nissan announced that it has increased the price of its flagship model Nissan Micra, by up to 2%. The hike will be applicable to both Petrol and Diesel version and will be in the range of Rs. 2,500 (0.5%) to Rs. 11,170 (2%).

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) registered its highest ever domestic sales of 1857 nos. in the month of January 2011 as against 40 nos. in January 2010. The Nissan Micra lead the sales figures with 1784 units being sold in the month of January. The company has so far sold 8225 units of Nissan Micra since its launch in July 2010.

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) announced the opening of its new dealerships in the cities of Aurangabad and Rajkot respectively. The opening of Shirin Nissan dealership in Aurangabad and IB Nissan dealership in Rajkot respectively marks Nissan’s dealership expansion strategy to reach commercial coverage in more than 52% of the national territory. Currently 13 states of the country have Nissan dealerships.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd announced that it has registered total domestic sales of 1104 nos. for the month of December 2010 as against 12 nos. in December 2009.   Out of the 1104 units, Nissan Micra lead the sales figures with 1057 units in December 2010 as against 1029 nos. sold in November 2010. The company has so far sold 6441 units of Nissan Micra since sales began on July 15, 2010. 

Nissan India today launched their latest offering, the Micra diesel. The diesel version of the car was always on the cards and now that it is finally out, the competition in the segment just got tougher. Bookings for the Micra have already started (read earlier post) and people are flocking to the nearest Nissan dealership to book their diesel hatches. There is no change in the design of the car and it is identical to its petrol sibling. The Diesel variant will be available in two trims – the Micra XV and the XV Premium. The prices of which are 5.85 lakh and 6.33 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Mumbai)

Nissan will unveil its much-awaited Micra-diesel on the 10th of December this month. We did post news earlier about the Micra diesel coming in this December (read post here) and that its nationwide sales will begin from the 10th of this month. The car will be available in two variants; the XV and the XV (premium).

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) inaugurated the Field Quality Centre (FQC) and the Training Centre in its manufacturing facility at Oragadam.  The FQC aims to better understand the needs of Nissan’s customers and build vehicles with a high-level of customer satisfaction.
