Michelin Tyres is setting up its manufacturing unit at Thervoy Kandigai Industrial Park in Thiruvallur district and has launched a training centre there for its employees and the community.

The Michelin Group and Tamil Nadu government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Michelin’s tyre manufacturing plant, 50km north of Chennai at Thervoy Kandigai in Thiruvallur district. With a committed investment of Rs. 4,000 crores, the plant will be spread over an area of 290 acres and will absorb 1,500 workers locally.

Michelin India Tyres Private limited has announced that they have begun supplying the Energy MXV8 tyre to Honda Accord V6. Michelin India is already OE supplier to two other Honda models - Civic and New CITY (Energy MXV8 and Energy XM1, respectively.
