Mclaren announces its Asia Pacific plans

McLaren Automotive today confirms that its Asia Pacific network will be managed from a wholly-owned McLaren subsidiary, McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd, based in Singapore. The first three directors of McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd are Ron Dennis, Peter Lim, and Greg Levine. At a press conference in Singapore, Ron Dennis, Executive Chairman, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Group, announced plans for the subsidiary and confirmed future expansion into the region.

Mclaren announces first customers for MP4-12C GT3

As McLaren GT prepares to enter two cars in the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Magny Cours on 27 August 2011, the new GT race car manufacturer is announcing that the first 20 MP4-12C GT3 race cars available to purchase for racing in 2012 are now sold. Like the 12C road car on which the 12C GT3 race car is based, demand has outstripped supply.

Rowan Atkinson a.k.a Mr. Bean crashed his McLaren F1 in Cambridgeshire, UK. This accident occurred when his Mclaren F1 spun out of control and hit a tree and a signpost and then caught fire. The actor was driving home the shoot of his new movie ‘Johnny English Reborn’.

Force India announces its driver line-up

Force India has announced its 2009 driver line-up. Since the Force India-McLaren tie-up, there were rumours of Pedro de la Rosa, the current McLaren test driver, replacing one of the two current drivers.

Force India paints itself silver

Force India will use Mercedes-Benz engines and McLaren gearboxes from next season following the confirmation of a new technical partnership. It comes after last week’s news that Ferrari had agreed to end their engine supply deal with the team a year early.
