Jaguar's flagship model - the XJ saloon - is now available with an optional Sport and Speed Pack. The Speed and Sport packs are available throughout the XJ range and compromise of a number of exterior and interior design options. Externally, the appearance of the XJ has been made even more aerodynamic with the addition of optimised changes to the bodywork and these packs also get a different set of sporty alloys. The interiors have undergone a change as well and the front seats in these cars are Jaguar's Performance version and they have the active ventilation which heats or chills them as per the requirement. 

If a Jaguar has been on your wish-list for a while, this accolade makes the XJ even more desirable. The Jaguar XJ has been recognised for its efficiency and awarded the 'Most Surprisingly Economical' honour at the inaugural Honest John Awards.

Tata Motors Group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover stood at 102,411 units in February 2011, thus registering a growth of 14% over February 2010. Global sales of all passenger vehicles were 55,664 units in February 2011, higher by 18%. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 514,681 units, a growth of 27%.

Jaguar Land Rover received more than eighty international awards for its vehicles during the course of this year. The tally of awards was shared almost equally between the two brands. Leading the charge for Land Rover was Discovery 4 with over 28 global awards this year bringing its total to 144 since launch in 2004.

Jaguar Land Rover has begun deliveries of the iconic Jaguar XJ in India.  The car was shown in India during the Delhi Auto Expo in January this year. Commenting on the occasion, Mr S Krishnan, Tata Motors’ Senior Vice President (Commercial), Passenger Car Business Unit, said, “We notice a very intense aspiration in India to own an XJ. We are encouraged by the number of customers who have expressed a desire to own this iconic car.”

The giant American auto makers like GM and Daimler, and Japanese manufacturers like Honda, and Nissan didn’t participate in this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The main highlights of this event were the Europe-based manufacturers with many of them going green.
