Hyundai announced the price of the all new Sonata today, the manual transmission is priced at Rs 18,52,979 and the automatic transmission at Rs 20,61,272 both prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The all new Sonata was unveiled at the 11th Auto Expo in January this year. “The all new Sonata powered by our GDi engine offers best-in-class features. Competitively priced the Sonata offers a stylish new choice to the premium customer,” Mr. B S Seo, Managing Director and CEO, HMIL said. Post the Sonata’s launch in January this year the company has received a large number of enquiries.

Hyundai has released the first image of the All New i20, ahead of its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.  The new model features refreshed styling and enhanced equipment.Among the four powertrain options available to buyers of the All New i20 will be the new 1.1-litre, 3-cylinder ‘U-II’ diesel engine that generates 75bhp. The engine was developed at Hyundai’s Diesel Centre of Excellence – part of the European R&D set-up in Rüsselsheim, Germany – and showcases Hyundai’s expertise in clean diesel technology.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), announced today the appointment of Mr. Bo Shin Seo as the new Managing Director of HMIL with effect from March 5, 2012. Prior to his elevation as managing director Mr. Seo was Executive Director Production -- a position he has held for the two years.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) sales for October declined by 7.5% on Y-o-Y basics. While domestic sales dropped by 5%, exports declined by 12.4%. HMIL’s aggregate sales for the month were 48,325 units against 52,217 units in October, 2010. Domestic sales were 33,001 units against 34,720 units in the corresponding month last year; exports were 15,324 units against 17,497 units in October 2010.

Hyundai Motor Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Intel Korea and C&S Technology, Ltd. to jointly develop solutions that provide both drivers and passengers with enhanced in-vehicle experiences such as location-based and social network services.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) registered around 1% growth in cumulative sales for the month of August 2011. While the domestic sales dropped by 6.7% the exports grew by 10.5%.
