Honda is displaying its new Earth Dreams Technology at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The 1.6-litre diesel is the first of the new generation engines that will be introduced across the Honda line-up in the coming three years.

The disruption in supply of components due to the Thailand Floods continues to affect the production at Honda Siel Cars India impacting its sales in the month of January 2012. HSCI has been operating under severe production constraints since November 2011 due to the shortage of components. 

Honda delivered a 2013 Fit EV battery-electric vehicle to the city of Torrance as one of the first major steps in the Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program. The delivery was marked by a ceremony at the Torrance City Hall, at which a key to the Fit EV was presented to Torrance Mayor Frank Scotto by Steve Center, vice president  Environmental Business Development, American Honda.

Honda unveiled the dynamic Accord Coupe Concept today at the North American International Auto Show, providing the first official glimpse of the athletic styling direction, as well as revealing a host of new technologies for the all-new, ninth-generation 2013 model, set to go on-sale this fall.

Honda has launched a facelifted version of the City at Rs 6.99lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new City gets a new chrome grille, restyled bumpers and new tail lights.  The City also gets new 10 spoke alloys as well.

Honda announced that a concept vehicle revealing the styling direction of the next-generation Honda Accord Coupe will make its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show January 10.

Honda will launch the facelift of the City on 14th of December . This is the same facelift version which was unveiled in Thailand. Honda had initially planned to introduce the City during the Expo in January, but now the company plans to get the car on the 14th of this month. The Honda City facelift gets new front grille, front bumper, rear bumper and new tail lamps. The interiors of the car are likely to remain the same.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) sold 4758 units in the month of September 2011 as against 7728 units sold during the corresponding month last year.

The Honda Brio’s pricing starts at Rs 3.95lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base model EMT that offers electric power steering, front power windows, AC and centrally locking. It is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88bhp and at this price it competes with the likes of the Chevrolet Beat and the Hyundai i10.

Honda had unveiled the concept version of the Brio at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo.  After about a year and a half, the company is now ready to launch the Brio in India. The Brio is Honda’s second hatchback offering and will be placed a segment below the Jazz, which has lately got a facelift and even a price cut of about Rs 1.5 lakh.
