Honda Siel Cars India's latest announcement about recalling 57,853 Honda City's has got the industry as well as the consumer buzzing about the  quality control that the company has as regards its products. The company is definitely making an attempt to right all the wrongs and hence the step taken by them is commendable. It was only in January 2010 that the company had recalled 8,532 units of cars manufactured in the year 2007 to replace faulty power window switches that could cause a fire.

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. today announced that it would carry out preventive part replacement of Lost Motion Spring in the valve train for 57,853 units of the 3rd Generation City, manufactured from November 2008 to December 2009.

Honda Siel Cars India launched the new Honda Civic with a sunroof. Bollywood actor Chitrangada Singh along with Mr. Tatsuya Natsume, Director, Marketing, HSCI and Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Vice President , Marketing, HSCI unveiled this new ‘avtaar’ of the Civic. Honda Civic will have a new colour Urban Titanium along with the existing colours available in the range. The Manual Transmission variant of this Civic will be priced at  Rs.13.53 lakh while the Automatic Transmission is  Rs.14.27 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi)

The introduction of the exclusive variant during the festival period might just boost the sales of the new Honda City. The new variant is an addition to the City line-up, offering a distinctive combination of refined styling and high quality. The additions of leather seats & leather steering in MT & AT and leather gear shift knob (only in MT) enhances the feeling of luxury and elegance of the car.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI),sold 7728 units in September 2010 as against 5,794 units sold in September 2009 marking an impressive growth of 33.38%. The company’s best-selling model Honda City showed a remarkable growth of 44% selling 6,164 units in September 2010 as against 4,281 units sold in September last year.

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars, today announced the beginning of "The Great Honda Fest", with the launch of Special Editions of its cars; the Jazz, City, Civic, Accord and CR-V. The special editions will have special accessories kits, which will be made available at a special price for the forthcoming festival season.

Honda Siel Cars India announced an investment of Rs. 250 crore in its Tapukara Plant in Rajasthan for the expansion of the power train facility. The power train facility, currently under construction, will be completed by the end of 2010 and will be utilized to manufacture engine & transmission components such as Cylinder Head and Cylinder Block – which were till now being imported from Indonesia and Thailand. The Tapukara plant currently produces Crankshaft and Connecting rods for its Greater Noida plant and for export purposes.

The third-generation Honda City has sold more than 50,000 units in just 12 months in India. The third-generation City was launched in India in September ’08 and the deliveries of the car began towards the end of November’ 08. The Honda City is the largest selling model of Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), and India has emerged as the largest market for the City in the Asian region during this period.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has announced the launch of 'Honda Assure', Honda’s Insurance initiative under which all Honda customers will get the benefit of a more transparent, hassle-free and quick turnaround time on their insurance claims. The entire transaction will be routed through an on-line central server which will enable HSCI to monitor overall operations more effectively. Some of the direct benefits to the customers include Cashless Insurance across India, clear demarcation of plastic & metal parts for greater transparency, instant policy issuance, and improved turnaround time.
