In the wake of the recent floods in Thailand, Honda Siel Cars India is operating with severe production constraints since the beginning of November 2011, impacting its monthly sales.

Honda Siel Cars India have launched an exclusive variant of the Honda City, with several new interior and exterior luxury features. The introduction of the exclusive variant during the festival period might just boost the sales of the new Honda City. The new variant is an addition to the City line-up, offering a distinctive combination of refined styling and high quality. The additions of leather seats & leather steering in MT & AT and leather gear shift knob (only in MT) enhances the feeling of luxury and elegance of the car.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI),sold 7728 units in September 2010 as against 5,794 units sold in September 2009 marking an impressive growth of 33.38%. The company’s best-selling model Honda City showed a remarkable growth of 44% selling 6,164 units in September 2010 as against 4,281 units sold in September last year.

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars, today announced the beginning of "The Great Honda Fest", with the launch of Special Editions of its cars; the Jazz, City, Civic, Accord and CR-V. The special editions will have special accessories kits, which will be made available at a special price for the forthcoming festival season.

Honda Siel Cars India announced an investment of Rs. 250 crore in its Tapukara Plant in Rajasthan for the expansion of the power train facility. The power train facility, currently under construction, will be completed by the end of 2010 and will be utilized to manufacture engine & transmission components such as Cylinder Head and Cylinder Block – which were till now being imported from Indonesia and Thailand. The Tapukara plant currently produces Crankshaft and Connecting rods for its Greater Noida plant and for export purposes.

Honda Siel Cars India, launched its latest version of flagship sedan Accord 3.5L V6, enhancing the exterior styling of the car, with an electric sunroof and additional luxury features.

The third-generation Honda City has sold more than 50,000 units in just 12 months in India. The third-generation City was launched in India in September ’08 and the deliveries of the car began towards the end of November’ 08. The Honda City is the largest selling model of Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), and India has emerged as the largest market for the City in the Asian region during this period.

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCI) has launched a new version of the CR-V. The new CR-V comes with a new two-step front grille, a re-sculpted hood & front bumper design and oval fog lamps. The new rear bumper further accentuates the stability of the car. The new CR-V is 45 mm longer than its predecessor and measures 4575 mm in length while maintaining the same width, height, ground clearance and head clearance. A new 10-spoke alloy wheel design replaces the previous 7-spoke alloy wheel design. The new wheel design gives the car a more aggressive stance and enhances its sporty looks.

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) sold 5,794 units and registered a 86.7% increase in sales in the month of September '09 as against 3,104 units sold during the corresponding month last year.

The giant American auto makers like GM and Daimler, and Japanese manufacturers like Honda, and Nissan didn’t participate in this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The main highlights of this event were the Europe-based manufacturers with many of them going green.
