Peugeot- Citroën may just build cars in India in collaboration with GM. It will use GM's Indian facilities to manufacture their models, which will save them a USD 800 million investment that was planned for a plant in Gujarat.

Tata Nano, the car that has been making news ever since it made appearance in the previously held Auto Expo, will finally roll out of the Sanand factory in Gujarat. Tata had to shift ground from Singur in West Bengal because of farmer strikes and currently the car is being manufactured at its makeshift plant in Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.

CEAT Limited inaugurated the Radial Tyre Greenfield project in Halol, Gujarat. Investment worth Rs 700crore will be made in three phases. The plant will provide employment opportunities to 1000 people in the first phase.
