The Ford Figo has been a hot selling car over the last few months and with 25,000 bookings, the Figo is turning out to be loved by all. The question is how really is the car to live with and drive. Ford India were happy to provide us with a Figo, both petrol and diesel, to live with for a week and use as we please. However, we believe that the car may have something to say about us since it has quite a personality of its own, as a lot of our team members discovered!.

We posted earlier that CarWale was at the Hyderabad International Auto Show and while there, we got first hand information about the happenings there. The Auto Show was held from the 22nd July to 25th of July at HICC, Novotel. Apart from a 100 models of cars and bikes, the event showcased a range of new launches, vintage cars and bikes, concepts vehicles, high performance vehicles, SUVs, super bikes and much more. The event brought together auto and accessory manufacturers, services and various finance options, all under one roof. 

The Hyderabad International Auto Show 2010 kicks-off today. The four day Auto show will exhibit several exotic cars and bikes from across the world. Besides 100 models of cars and bikes, the event will also showcase a range of new launches, some vintage cars and vintage bikes along with concepts cars, high performance vehicles, SUVs and super bikes. CarWale is also a part of this Auto Show and we will bring you the inside scoop each day as the events unfold.

Mumbai:  With more than 25,000 sales bookings registered since its launch in March, the Ford Figo has cemented its reputation as one of India's most in demand new cars.

The Hyderabad International Auto Show held in 2009 registered a huge success and obviously left the consumers asking for more. Vista Entertainments has got the much loved International Auto Show 2010 in Hyderabad yet again. The Auto Show kick starts from the 22nd of July to the 25th of July at HICC, Novotel.

At a celebration ceremony, Michael Boneham, president and managing director of Ford India, flagged off the first shipment of Ford India manufactured Ford Figos bound for South Africa.

Ford dealers in Punjab, Chennai and Cochin celebrated significant milestones with regards to the sales of the Ford Figo. The senior Ford India executives went on-site to hand deliver the keys to proud new owners of Ford Figo.

Jonathan Browning (50) assumed responsibility for the global directing of the Volkswagen Group’s National Sales Companies (NSC) with effect from June 1, 2010. The Group Board Member for Sales and Marketing Christian Klingler commented: “Directing our sales companies is becoming enormously important in the light of internationalization and market dynamics. It is therefore a central pillar in the realignment of our Group sales and marketing organization.

It’s only fitting to headline a piece on Ford India with perhaps their most successful ad-line from the nineties, when Ford Motor Co. really made a comeback in the North American market. Ford has always had good cars in the Indian market and each one of them has had a fair number of followers; starting from the Escort (from their M&M JV days) to the Ikon and even the Mondeo (an excellent car which sadly had a rather short life-span in our market) the Fiesta and now, the Figo.
