Ford India is organising The Great Endeavour Drive this weekend on 5th and 6th Novermber at Exhibition Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh.

The third-generation Ford Ranger that was recently-launched become the first pickup to achieve a five star rating in all areas of Euro NCAP’s assessments. This new pick-up was designed and engineered by Ford Australia and it marks a significant improvement over the outgoing version which scored a 2-star adult occupant rating.

Ford India has introduced the limited edition of the Endeavour 4x4 and named it as the Hurricane. This new version is priced at Rs 20.13lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will come equipped with front nudge bar, chrome exhaust trims, rear door convex mirror and the Hurricane body decals. 

Ford India sales have increased by 35 percent so far this year. Ford India sold 90,612 wholesale and export vehicles from January to September 2011, compared to 67,253 units sold during the same period last year – a 35 percent increase year-over-year.

Ford has confirmed at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show that its latest and smallest engine the newly developed three-cylinder 1-litre EcoBoost, will be powering the Focus, C-Max and B-Max in Europe.

Ford India broke ground today for its new, state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat.

Ford Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation announced they will equally collaborate on the development of an advanced new hybrid system for light truck and SUV customers. Ford and Toyota have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the product development collaboration, with the formal agreement expected by next year.

Ford India, which just launched the All-New Fiesta, sold 71,347 wholesale and export vehicles from January to July 2011, compared to 49,131 units sold during the same period last year – a 45 percent increase year-over-year. 

As part of its aggressive global expansion, and to meet growing demand in India, Ford Motor Company announced today it will build an integrated manufacturing facility comprising of a state-of-the-art vehicle manufacturing facility and an engine plant in Sanand, Gujarat. Representatives from Ford and the State of Gujarat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
