Ford’s new turbocharged, direct injection 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine goes on sale across the Ford Focus range.  This new EcoBoost engine delivers performance to rival a traditional 1.6-litre engine with significantly improved fuel efficiency.

Ford showcased the new Fusion (Mondeo) at the Detroit Motor Show and is the first Ford sedan to offer gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. After driving through 28 cities covering 6400 kms across India over 8 days, Ford Figo Discover Smart Drive  Season 2 arrived at the home of the Himalayas, Nepal for its final celebratory leg. Discovering the Everest of driving in Nepal are the winners Team Bhaigiri, Gaurav and Gunjan Juyal who drove the phenomenal Figo from Mumbai to Kochi in the Indian leg.

Ford will preview the all-new vehicle at the Auto Expo 2012. This vehicle is planned to be introduced in India and other global markets in the near future.  With expected attendance of 1.4 million visitors, Auto Expo 2012 is an ideal location to showcase the newest Ford product.

This December, Ford has slashed prices for its various models including the recently launched Fiesta. The Chennai-based American automaker is offering discounts of upto Rs 75,000 on the Fiesta.

Ford’s Discover Smart Drive in the Figo traversed through cities, engaged participants, generated excitement for fans, promoted carbon neutral journey and in return created memories worth a lifetime for participants and their fans. 

Ford India's Discover Smart Drive (DSD Season 2) makes a comeback this year with loads of fun, adventure and cross-country engagement. For the first-time ever, the finishing leg of the drive will be in Nepal – an export market for the Figo. The winner gets a chance to drive the Figo in Nepal, which also includes a helicopter ride over the mighty and scenic Himalayas (depending on weather conditions). Ford India will surprise customers with a special 'Midnight Sale' on December 4, offering special discounts on its class-leading vehicles and reduced interest rates along with surprise gifts with the purchase of every new Ford car.

The new Ford Focus has become the first ever car to receive four Euro NCAP Advanced safety rewards after its Driver Alert and Forward Alert technologies were honoured this week.The rewards come a month after new Ford Ranger achieved an historic first by becoming the only pickup to receive a maximum 5 Star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Ranger also achieved the highest score ever recorded by Euro NCAP for pedestrian protection.

Ford had launched the Fiesta, just a few months ago with the new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The Fiesta petrol will soon get a new dual-clutch transmission. This will be a 6-speed autobox that Ford calls it PowerShift.
