Fiat India had recently launched the 2012 versions of the Linea and the Grande Punto. The biggest upgrade in these new year models has been the increase in the ground clearance of the cars.

Fiat India is likely to deal the small car that they were supposed to launch next year. The small car that Fiat is supposed to introduce will be placed a segment below the existing Grande Punto and will be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine.

Fiat recently began a marketing campaign with 'Diesel at the price of petrol'. In this scheme, a few lucky winners buying the Fiat Linea/Grande Punto petrol will get upgraded to the diesel version. However if the buyer has opted for the diesel version, then he/she will get the car at the price of the petrol version.
