The new Fiat 500 performed alongside Jennifer Lopez during her performance of Papi, at the recent 2011 American Music Awards® (AMAs), in Los Angeles.Earlier this year the Fiat brand announced its collaboration with Jennifer Lopez, which included placement of the new Fiat 500C in her new music video, Papi as well as in a 30-second trailer of the video. The singer also appears in two additional commercials for the brand broadcast in the USA, My World and Elegance, which feature the Fiat 500C and the Fiat 500byGucci models.

The Linea, Grande Punto and 500 are Fiat's current offerings to the Indian car market. The Italian manufacturer has plans to introduce a hatchback in a segment which is notch below the Grande Punto.

‘Fiat Diesel Drives India’ broke through the finish line successfully and in grand style. The drive which was flagged off from Fiat’s Ranjangaon plant on 27th October 09, has seen journalists from all realms of the media take 4 of Fiat’s multijet powered cars– Linea, Grande Punto, Palio and Fiat 500 to the test on dynamic and unpredictable Indian terrains. In the span of one and a half months, the drive clocked over 10,000 km in distance whilst travelling through 16 Indian states.

Fiat India Private Limited (FIAL) is conducting a multijet drive across India, covering more than 10,000km. All four Fiat cars sold in India (the Palio, Linea, Grande Punto and the 500) are a part of this drive with an additional Grande Punto as a support car. The drive was flagged off last week from the Ranjangaon plant, and the convoy headed towards Bengaluru via Chiplun and Goa. CarWale joined the drive at Bengaluru.

Fiat India flagged off a drive called ‘Fiat Diesel Drives India’ today. ‘Fiat Diesel Drives India’ will be taking Fiat’s 4 multijet diesel offerings- the Linea, Grande Punto, Palio and Fiat 500 through testing Indian terrain over a period of a month and a half. This one-of-a-kind journey will traverse through diverse terrains within 16 states in India, clocking over 10,000 kilometers. The drive has been aimed at generating awareness about Fiat’s connection with diesel technology.

The Fiat 500C will be presented at the next Geneva Motor show, before its launch throughout Europe this spring. Featuring a soft top, the new 500C is the same size as the basic model (3.55 m x 1.65 m x 1.49 m) and has identical powerplants: the 1.3 litre 75bhp Multijet Turbodiesel coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and the two 1.2 litre 69bhp and 1.4 litre 100bhp gasoline engines, available with either manual or Dualogic transmissions.
