The Ferrari 458 Italia has been awarded the title of “Performance Car of the Year” by Auto Express magazine for the second year in a row.

The new 458 Spider joins the 458 Italia, widening the range of Ferrari’s mid-rear engined V8s and offering the same uncompromising technological solutions, handling and performance in a refined open-top configuration. It is equipped with a Ferrari patented, fully retractable hard top, a world first for a sports car with this lay-out.

The third Mumbai edition of the Parx Super Car Show is scheduled to be held on January 23, 2011 at Vidhan Bhavan Parking Lot, Mumbai. The highlight of the event would be the debut of India’s first personalised Ferrari 458 Italia. Mr Gautam Singhania, Chairman of the SCC, said "The Club has witnessed an exponential growth in the member base – from about 20 in 2009 to 250 today, and still growing. Also, the sheer spread of members across India has encouraged us to open fresh chapters in New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore so far."

The giant American auto makers like GM and Daimler, and Japanese manufacturers like Honda, and Nissan didn’t participate in this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The main highlights of this event were the Europe-based manufacturers with many of them going green.

The new upcoming Ferrari 458 Italia is a completely new car from every point of view: engine, design, aerodynamics, handling, instrumentation and ergonomics, just to name a few.
