The current generation BMW X3 has been around the Indian market since August 2011 and in that time, it has managed to sell in good numbers, giving tough competition to the likes of the Audi Q5 and the Land Rover Freelander 2. Now, an upgraded model is set to arrive as BMW India will launch the new X3 tomorrow in New Delhi.

Just a couple of weeks after officially unveiling the car, Skoda has released the first picture of the 2015 Fabia’s interior. The company has also revealed some new details about the car including 17 'Simply Clever' features, which supposedly lend more functionality to the new Fabia.

Japanese automotive giant Toyota has announced that it will produce the Land Cruiser 70 for one year in Japan. The model was reintroduced to celebrate three decades of the J70 series and it seems like the demand in local market is strong with the company expecting 200 orders a month.

The rivalry between the German automotive trio of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz has entered the world wide web.  According to Google, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have topped the list of most searched luxury car brands in India followed by Tata-owned Jaguar and Audi. This data was recorded between January and August 25, 2014.

2015 Volvo XC90 officially revealed

After teasing the car umpteen times, Volvo has finally taken the wraps off the 2015 XC90. The car will carry a price tag of GBP 45,785 (Rs 45.90 lakh) for the base D5 Momentum variant and will go on sale in the European market in March, next year. Though the car has been officially revealed, it will make its public appearance in October, later this year, at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

CCI slaps Rs 2,545 crore penalty on 14 car manufacturers

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed a penalty of more than Rs 2,545 crore on 14 car manufacturers, for violating trade regulations in the spare parts and after services market. The list includes some of the biggest car makers in the country like Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Volkswagen, Fiat, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Hindustan Motors, Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Skoda and Toyota. The penalty for each manufacturer adds up to two per cent of its annual turnover and it has to be deposited with the government within 60 days.

Maruti Ciaz Vdi+ spied again

Maruti is preparing to storm the C segment with its upcoming sedan, the Ciaz. This is the second important product for the company after the Celerio in 2014. We are accustomed to how every manufacturer names their variants, and Maruti is one of them which uses generic nomenclatures for all its models. The company seems to hold on to the way it names its variants, but the upcoming Ciaz has been spotted with a ‘+’ on its mid variant Vdi. A source has spied the Ciaz closely with a VDI+ nomenclature on it and we have something to speculate on.
