Mahindra REVA Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (Mahindra REVA),  announced that its REVAi vehicle will be available at select Mahindra dealerships in Hyderabad. Sabita Indira Reddy P. from the Ministry of Home, Jails, Fire Services and Sainik Welfare, handed over the keys of the first two REVAi vehicles to Mr. Anurag Bajaj of the Park Hotel, Hyderabad.

Renault Electric Vehicles

From 2011, Renault will progressively roll out four electric vehicles, including two derivatives of internal-combustion vehicles. The first will be the electric version of Fluence which will be based on Fluence Z.E. Concept and which will initially be available in Israel and Europe. The second, based on Kangoo Z.E. Concept, will be an electric version of Renault Kangoo Express, intended primarily for fleet and business use.

GM and Reva Join Hands to Develop Electric Vehicles

General Motors India and Reva Electric Car Company (REVA) have entered into a collaboration agreement to develop electric vehicles for the Indian market. The agreement was announced jointly by Karl Slym, president and managing director, General Motors India and Chetan Maini, deputy chairman and chief technology officer, REVA.

Tesla RoadsterTesla motors, manufacturers of the world's first electric supercar, have opened their first dealership in the city of Los Angeles, near the University of California. The Tesla roadster is an all-electric car; it uses batteries to drive an electric motor that powers the rear wheels. It is capable of 0-100kph in under 4 seconds, and a top speed of 200kph.
