Audi, the German carmaker has introduced a limited edition model of its premium luxury SUV Q7 in India in diesel and comes at a special discount price of Rs 58.68lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) which is lower by Rs 7.45 lakh than its existing model. The new Audi Q7 4.0 TDI model is fitted with the V8 engine.

Ford India announced a reduction in the price of its SUV, the Endeavour by Rs. 6,000. This new pricing of the Endeavour is a direct result of the announcement made in The Union Budget 2009. It has been proposed that the excise duty applicable on cars of engine capacity 2000cc and above will be reduced from Rs 20,000/- per vehicle to Rs 15, 000 per vehicle.  

Hindustan Motors Limited has announced price cuts on the Ambassador, thanks to the reduction of CENVAT by 4%.  HML will also reduce the prices of the Mitsubishi models, once the excise duty is reduced.

Fiat India Automobiles Ltd. (FIAL), announced discounts on its Palio Stile, a few weeks prior to the launch of the Linea. Discounts are being offered on all the models of Fiat Palio Stile.

Tata Motors has offered a discount on all its current models except for the Indica Vista and Indigo CS. Tata has gone a step further to entice customers by offering a scratch card contest as well.

Ford has announced that its popular Fiesta model will be sold at a special discounted price for ten days.
