Audi launches limited edition Q7

Audi, the German carmaker has introduced a limited edition model of its premium luxury SUV Q7 in India in diesel and comes at a special discount price of Rs 58.68lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) which is lower by Rs 7.45 lakh than its existing model. The new Audi Q7 4.0 TDI model is fitted with the V8 engine.

Toyota to Launch Corolla Altis Diesel

The Toyota Corolla and then the newer Altis has seen plenty of competition over the last few years in the segment and to re-affirm their commitment to the environment they developed the clean and efficient Altis CNG last year, which is only sold in the national capital city and Mumbai. (Regular readers will remember that we broke the news first on our site when we got up close and personal with a CNG test car). Now, they're finally going to consider launching the diesel version of the Altis and the car is currently undergoing tests. While the final engine specifications are still unknown, one expects the engine to be in the 85 - 100bhp range if it needs to fight competition in the segment. Toyota are fairly tight-lipped on the possible launch dates of the car but we do hope it sees the light of day fairly soon – hopefully in the second quarter of 2010. Watch this space!

Ford Joins the Hatchback Race; Prices Figo at Rs 3.6lakh

The much awaited Ford Figo was launched in Mumbai today. We had reported about the Delhi launch yesterday but today Ford announced the prices of its car in Mumbai. At Rs 3,66,886 the entry level Figo (1.2litre LXI) would surely make the difference in the B-segment category.

Ford Figo Prices to Start at Rs 3,49,900

Ford India launched the Figo today in Delhi. The much awaited compact car has been priced aggressively to cater to the growing demand of hatchbacks in India. The entry level Figo Duratec LXI, equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, will be priced at Rs. 3,49,900.

Mercedes E-Class Diesel Launched

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the E350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the diesel variant of the new E-Class, at a price of Rs 48.08 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The E350 CDI sports a 2987cc six-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine that produces 228bhp and 540Nm of torque, and will be available initially in Avantgarde trim.
