Tata Motors presented the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) CNG-Electric Hybrid Low-floor Starbuses. This is the first time in India that hybrid buses will be used for public transportation. The honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Sheila Dikshit, flagged off the buses in the presence of ministers, top Government of Delhi officers, senior DTC management, Tata Motors’ Managing Director – India Operations, Mr. P.M. Telang, and the President – Commercial Vehicles, Mr. R. Pisharody.

Vodafone Essar in association with Eco-Activate, today announced the launch of the eco-friendly vehicle, E-rick as the sponsoring partner. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Shiela Dikshit, flagged-off the E-rick at her residence. The launch of E-rick is an effort to provide pollution-free mode of transportation in the capital. E-rick, powered by batteries, aims to ensure reduction in carbon footprint with zero emissions. This technology will reduce the dependence on conventional fuel.
