Lamborghini has previewed the Egoista concept car at a private function that was held during the Italian supercar maker’s 50th anniversary celebrations.  If the special edition Aventador and the Veneno concept car are two-seater radical designs, then the Egoista as its name suggests is all about the driver and his experience. 

The Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler (in both wheelbases) have been spied testing in Goa by the team from GoaonWheels. This is the third sighting of the same trio in the last three months. These vehicles were previously spied during testing outside Pune and then at the Naigaon exit on the Mumbai-Ahemadabad highway in March.  Fiat had announced in December that it would bring the Jeep brand to the Indian market via the CBU route by the third quarter of 2013.

Nissan India has said that the fire that broke at one of the logistics companies that stores its supplies will not affect production. The fire had broken out on the night of May 10 at the warehouse of a company called Yusen logistics and has gutted most of the building. The warehouse stores spare parts and accessories for the Japanese automaker. 

Mahindra has launched the H-series Xylo MUV for Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai BS IV variant). The H-series is available in three variants H4, H8 and the top of the line H9 with no change in prices for the H8 and H9 as compared to the outgoing E-series variants.  However, the biggest change is that the Xylo will now be powered by the more powerful mHawk engine that currently sits in all variants of the Scorpio LX and above.  

A fully camouflaged version of the Jaguar F-Type Coupe has been spied.  Last week pictures believed to be that of the F-Type coupe’s patent drawings surfaced on the internet. Some claimed that it was the F-Type Coupe while many other suggested that it was drawings of the C-X16 concept car that was unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo. However, with the spotting of the camouflaged car it is almost certain that there will be an F-Type Coupe. 

Toyota had previewed the next generation Corolla through its Furia design concept at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. It then made an announcement that it would unveil the car before the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Car and Driver has now been able to get some more information about the car via a Toyota dealer in the state of Kansas, USA who accidentally posted the information on their site but quickly remove it later. The report suggests that the 2014 Corolla will feature many parts from the Furia along with some design cues from the bigger Camry sedan. 

The Volkswagen Polo Cross has been spied testing near Chakan, just outside Pune by the team at Indiancarsbikes. The Polo Cross is basically a more muscular version of the standard Polo and features mainly cosmetic changes on the outside to make the car look bigger. 

he Bajaj RE60 has been spotted testing again near Pune. The car was first shown during the 2012 Auto Expo and was then officially unveiled last month by the Chakan-based two-wheeler maker. They are currently awaiting word from the government on certain concessions before putting it into production. As a part of the spy pictures we have got some details on the instrument cluster as well on the tyres that the RE60 will be using in the production version.

BMW India maybe asked to pay a fine of Rs 650 crore by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) for evading duties worth Rs 500 crore. The German automakers plant in Chennai was searched by the tax officials in this regard recently.   

Chevrolet has launched the Enjoy MPV in the Indian market for Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The MPV is being offered in eight different variants and with one petrol and diesel engine. The seven-seater MPV was unveiled during the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo as a concept vehicle and Chevrolet had confirmed at that time that it would bring the vehicle to Indian market in the next one year. The Enjoy is basically a RHD version of the Chinese made Wuling CN-100 van, a product of Enjoy (GM’s Chinese partner) and Wuling Motors.
