CarWale, India’s No. 1 Automotive Portal has been recognized as the Best Automotive Content website in India by the Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) at the 2nd Annual India Digital Awards ceremony. More than 500 Internet, mobile and digital marketing companies participated in thi year’s India Digital Awards. Launched in 2005, CarWale aims to simplify car buying in India. It empowers the Indian car consumer to make informed car buying and ownership decisions with exhaustive and un-biased information on cars through on road prices of new cars across India, used car valuation, road tests and owner reviews, detailed specifications, comparisons and a host of tools and technology.

After a scintillating display of varied vintage beauties at Inorbit Malls, Malad and Vashi, over 40 cars participated in the annual drive to Lonavala. The CarWale Vintage Wheels 2011 drive was flagged off from Inorbit Mall, Vashi by Mr. Javed Ahmed, Police Commissioner, Navi Mumbai. The roads around Inorbit Mall were bustling with Navi Mumbaikars early on Sunday morning trying to catch a glimpse of these rarest cars that lined up before the flag off.

The Mahindra Monsoon Challenge which is a part of the Mahindra Adventure initiative commences on the 22nd of July. This is time, speed, distance based rally which will be flagged off from Nashik heading to Aurangabad, then Kolhapur and the final leg will end in Goa. Our editorial team is participating in this event.

The Golden Steering Wheel, Europe’s most coveted automobile awards, celebrated automotive excellence second year in a row in India on the 9th of March. These awards which recognise the best in field of cars, motorcycles as well as products and technology were held by CarWale, India's no. 1 Automotive Portal and Auto Bild India, the only fortnightly automotive magazine in India.

CarWale has been nominated in the Red Herring’s Global Top 200 Companies list for the year 2010. This comes right after the company won the Red Herring Asia Top 100 awards in 2007 and 2009. We are thrilled to announce that CarWale is now a part of Axel Springer AG and the India Today Group, owing to their recent acquisition of the company.

We posted earlier that CarWale was at the Hyderabad International Auto Show and while there, we got first hand information about the happenings there. The Auto Show was held from the 22nd July to 25th of July at HICC, Novotel. Apart from a 100 models of cars and bikes, the event showcased a range of new launches, vintage cars and bikes, concepts vehicles, high performance vehicles, SUVs, super bikes and much more. The event brought together auto and accessory manufacturers, services and various finance options, all under one roof. 

The Hyderabad International Auto Show 2010 kicks-off today. The four day Auto show will exhibit several exotic cars and bikes from across the world. Besides 100 models of cars and bikes, the event will also showcase a range of new launches, some vintage cars and vintage bikes along with concepts cars, high performance vehicles, SUVs and super bikes. CarWale is also a part of this Auto Show and we will bring you the inside scoop each day as the events unfold.

CarWale conducted  a series of free workshop titled  'My Garage' which were held at Inorbit Mall, Vashi on the weekend of 12 – 13 June 2010 and at Inorbit Mall, Malad the following weekend 19 – 20 June 2010.

CarWale recently drove the new Nissan Micra. The Micra is a 3-cylinder, 1198cc petrol engine which produces about 75 bhp of power.
