MINI to begin with two dealerships in India

BMW had announced MINI's entry into India by 2012. The company further stated that it hasn't confirmed the line-up yet, but all the cars will be CBU and MINI will have separate dealerships and won't share the same area with the already existing BMW showrooms in India.

BMW to launch the X3 on 25th August 2011

BMW will launch the new X3 on the . The new X3 will be assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant unlike the current model which was being imported. This will make the SUV more affordable to begin with. The X3 will compete against the Audi Q5 which too is currently assembled in India.

BMW delivers 6246 Cars to customers in 2010

BMW India surpassed the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Audi by delivering 6246 cars in the year 2010. The total BMW India sales in 2010 grew by 73% over last year. The BMW 3 Series sales registered a growth of over 111%, the new BMW 5 Series of 51% and the BMW 7 Series of 53%.

BMW India to create 1200 jobs in the Dealer and Service Network
