The Volkswagen Group comprising of the three brands- Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen achieved an extraordinary growth in deliveries to customers of 131.9% in the period January to September 2010. The three brands together delivered a total of 32,359 vehicles to customers in the first nine months of 2010 as compared to 13,956 cars sold from January to September 2009.

Audi announced the opening of its new showroom in Jaipur. The Audi Jaipur showroom was inaugurated by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, Dayanidhi Kasliwal, Director, Audi Jaipur and Aditya Kasliwal, Managing Director, Audi Jaipur.  "I am delighted to announce the opening of our new showroom in Jaipur - the capital of royalty and luxury. Rajasthan, the land of Maharajas, has been setting the standards for luxury in India for centuries. We see a huge potential for growth in this market and are happy to have found the right partner in Kamal Autotech." said Michael Perschke, Head – Audi India.

Audi registered a sale of 302 cars in September 2010, a 47% growth over its September 2009 sales (205 cars).  The company has sold 2178 cars from January – September 2010, recording a growth of 63 percent over the same period in 2009 (1333 cars, January – September 2009).

Audi announced the launch of the Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI quattro - the latest engine variant of the luxury SUV, in India. Deliveries of the new Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI are slated to begin in January 2011. "The Audi Q7 - the high performance luxury SUV has been one of the main contributors to our success in the Indian market. We are confident that it will further help us consolidate our leadership position in the luxury SUV space", said Mr. Michael Perschke, Head – Audi India.

Audi, announced the opening of its new showroom in Mumbai. The Audi Mumbai West showroom was inaugurated by Andre Konsbruck, Executive Director Region Overseas, AUDI AG, Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Anand Rao, Managing Director, Audi Mumbai West. Also present on the occasion was leading actor, Bipasha Basu- owner of the Audi Q7.

Audi sold 1876 cars from January – August 2010 and has surpassed its last year’s annual sales of 1658 cars sold. The company has recorded a growth of 66 % over the same period in 2009 which was 1128 units. Audi India recorded sales of 250 cars in August 2010, a 46 % growth over August 2009 sales of 171 units.

Audi announced the opening of its  state-of-the-art showroom and service facility in Bengaluru. The dealership was inaugurated by Michael Perschke, Head - Audi India, Shamit Bhartia, Director- Audi Bengaluru (Jubilant Motors Private Limited) and K. Subramanian, Chief Executive Officer - Audi Bengaluru (Jubilant Motors Private Limited). "I am delighted to announce the opening of our upgraded facility in Bengaluru based on the global Audi Terminal concept. This concept is unique to Audi, truly reflects our key brand values of sportiness and progressiveness. Audi Bengaluru, mirrors this ideology and will ensure that our customers in the region will continue to experience unmatched levels of luxury,” said Michael Perschke, Head - Audi India.

Audi has started assembly of the Q5 model in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. In the future, up to 1,500 units of the Q5 will run off the assembly line there each year for the Indian market.

Audi has posted a growth of 65 percent in its sales figures in India for May 2010. Audi India's countrywide vehicle sales in May this year grew to 200 cars as compared to 121 units sold in May 2009.

Audi India has announced its state-of-the-art service facility in Delhi that has the capability of repairing aluminum and steel. It is located at Mathura Road and is spread over 20,000 square feet.
