The company’s 1854 units sold in September 2009 marked an increase on the 1463 units sold in the month of August 2009.  

Speaking on the increase in sales figures in the domestic market/on the strong September sales figures Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales and Marketing, ŠkodaAuto India said “We are extremely delighted with the significant growth in sales this September resulting from the phenomenal response of our large base of loyal customers. We are optimistic that the 2009 festival season will continue to see a much stronger response to our products and services and help drive growth in our sales in the coming months."

The Skoda Superb sold 257 units and had 22.6% segment share in the period January - August 2009 as against 5.6% segment share in January - August 2008, registering a growth of over 330% in this segment.  The Škoda Octavia and the New Škoda Laura also continue to rank among the hottest-selling cars in the C+ segment in India with a combined sales figure of 684 units in September 2009.

]]>Skoda Auto presents facelifted versions of the Octavia RS and the Octavia Scout (known as Laura in India). After the revised Octavia launched late last year, the Octavia RS and the Octavia Scout have now been facelifted as well. Besides numerous design changes, both cars offer an air quality sensor for the Climatronic air conditioning system.

The facelifted Octavia RS has a new front mask with an RS logo and headlamps that can be fitted with xenon units combined with an adaptive front lighting module. The RS chassis has been lowered to 127 mm, the car's weight reduced by 20 kg in the petrol version and 15 kg in the diesel one. Skoda calms to that the maximum speed is higher, and the car's responsiveness and acceleration have also been improved.

The Scout line has been facelifted to toe the line with the other models of the Octavia portfolio, including a redesigned radiator mask and headlamps. Fitted with fog the massive front bumper underlines the vehicle's off-road appearance.
