Additionally, the 2012 Ford Fiesta line-up offers the All-new Ford Fiesta PowerShift Automatic. With segment-first dual-clutch six-speed technology, Ford Fiesta PowerShift Automatic delivers class-leading fuel economy of 16.97 KM/L. It is available in two variants– Style and Titanium+ in 1.5L Ti-VCT engine and priced at Rs. 899,000 and Rs. 970,300 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. The All-New Fiesta PowerShift Automatic has a unique sealed-for-life transmission unit that requires no maintenance for 10 years or 240,000km.

The campaign also takes the All-New global Fiesta across other channels after using digital as the lead-in medium for the launch.  Commenting on the strategy, Nigel E Wark, executive director, Sales and Marketing for Ford India said, “We wanted to adopt an innovative approach with the All-New global Fiesta launch in India. Designed around the All-New global Ford Fiesta, the campaign commercials highlight differentiators about the product through the experiences of four young and real people– interesting, articulate participants who got the opportunity to get behind the wheel in an amazing drive and have shared their candid impressions using social platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Coming from different walks of life, the four participants featured in the campaign–Vikram Aditya Singh (Video Journalist), Monica Joon (Professional Sportsperson),Shruti Sharma (Travel Writer) and Archit Rakheja (Adventure Consultant)– were chosen to tell the story for being good conversationalists and their affinity to the target audience.

The New Fiesta's engines have been derived from the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. At present, the car comes only with a five-speed manual transmission and it seems that the company will get in the automatic version of the Fiesta probably by the end of this year. Last week the May sales figures showed that the car sales have slowed down due to the revised interest rates. This week however, the automotive manufacturers are preparing for their future launches.

Audi India, this week commenced the assembly of its forthcoming model – the new A6. Mercedes-Benz became the first auto maker to launch a mobile website. Ford had organised a media drive for the new Fiesta, where we drove the car as well.

Exuding ‘Energy in Motion’, the collection is inspired by Ford’s Kinetic Design philosophy which exemplifies the bold and futuristic styling of its premium and global all-new Fiesta sedan.

Trendy and chic in style and form, the line of clothing displayed an international touch that matched the Ford Fiesta’s global DNA. With a clever use of cues inspired by the car's underlying design theme, Swapnil’s creativity was stimulated by the aspects of the car –flowing lines from the kinetic design, bold colour palette with the vivid shades, and smart cuts from the car's dynamic yet aesthetic spirit.

Starting the show with a collection that drapes the futuristic, yet elegant and bold look of the Ford Fiesta, Swapnil brought alive the striking features of this iconic machine. His creation showcased innovative designs that electrified the ramp. Inspired by the intuitive and impressively modern styling of the Fiesta, the collection was simply a treat to watch.

Talking about the collection, designer Swapnil Shinde said “The new Fiesta brings with it a refreshing and energetic touch to design and style. The thought of translating the car's bold kinetic design theme into my creations was a true inspiration.
