Pictures of the Mercedes concept that will be launched at the Beijing Auto Show have leaked on to the internet. Called the Concept Style Coupe, it looks stylish with design cues from the new CLS and A-class showcased in the 2011 Shanghai Auto show. The car will be launched in China and North America first.
The so-called baby CLS is based on the MFA platform and will be offered with the basic 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine generating 208PS power and transfers it through the 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

Mercedes has finally baptised its upcoming four-door coupe that will play little brother to the CLS, and it has been christened the CLA - mostly in deference to the fact that it is based on the same platform with front-drive architecture as the A- and B-Class hatchbacks. The A-Class you see pictured here will give a fair indication as to how the CLA will look when launched at the Beijing Motor Show this month.

The CLA will go on sale worldwide in 2013 and it will be powered by both petrol and diesel powertrains that will generate 110-150PS. The engines will be mated to six-speed manual transmissions and seven-speed dual-clutch automatics. We expect to see the latter being sold in India, with the former only entering if the B-Class is already here first to ensure component sharing and thus cost effectiveness. 

Drive will be sent to the front wheels only in lower variants, with the higher-spec versions getting all-wheel drive. An AMG version with over 300PS will also be launched at some point.

The new CLS is 26kgs lighter than the outgoing model. The co-efficient of drag has been reduced to 0.26. The car comes mated to a 7G-TRONIC gearbox and does a 0-100km/hr in 6.1 seconds.

Reva:

The Reva NXG is a sporty two-seater which will go into production in the year 2011. It will have a top speed of 130kph and a range of 200km to a full charge.

The Reva NXR is a four-seat, two-door hatchback family car with production scheduled to commence at the beginning of 2010. The car will run on a Lithium-ion battery and will have a top speed of 104kph and a range of 160km on a full charge.  In India the NXR will be available with a lead acid battery, offering a range of 80km per charge and top speed of 80kph.

Audi A5 Sportback:

The Audi A5 is similar to the Mercedes CLS. If the A5 makes it to India, it will offer a stylish alternative to the traditional saloons on offer from Audi like the A6 and A8, which tend to err on the side of caution as far as styling is concerned.

Audi R8 Spyder:

The Audi R8 Spyder has a 5.2-litre V10 engine and 520bhp. This is more powerful than the R8 4.2 hardtop that is currently on sale in India, and has a few cosmetic changes other than the loss of the roof, which includes a new chrome mesh front grille, shark gills on the engine cover for better cooling and it has lost the dramatic air intake panels from the flanks of the coupe.

Bentley Mulsanne:

The Mulsanne is a new addition to Bentley’s product list, and is its flagship car. The 'Mulsanne' moniker is a reference to Bentley's heritage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where they have won five times. The Mulsanne will be powered by the tweaked Arnage powerplant, though heavily tweaked to bring down emissions.

The Ferrari 458 Italia was one of the main highlights of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 458 Italia is the successor to the F430, and both critics and fans alike have appreciated Ferrari's new design.

Toyota has updated its Land Cruiser and made a few cosmetic changes. This car will also make its way to Indian shores once it comes into production.
