Facelifted Fiat Linea goes to Greece, India debut by next year

Fiat will soon launch the Turkey-made facelifted Linea for the Greek market and this will be the car that will come to the Indian market by next year. Most of the changes to the sedan are cosmetic and have taken place both inside and outside with the latter getting a major chunk of the changes.  

Fiat has revised the grille and front bumper and added a significant amount of chrome. The bumper now has a lip but the fog lamps and headlights remain the same. At the back, the lights have stayed the same but the number plate has now moved to a slot on the boot. There is a significant amount of chrome here too and the Indian car buyer - who has always had an affinity for all things shiny and bright - will certainly like this. 

The interiors remain more or less same save for a modified dashboard and a few minor changes to the fabrics used in the upholstery. Under the hood, the Linea will still be powered by the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel, 1.4-litre FIRE and the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine. However, the diesel will now be re-tuned to produce 95bhp from the earlier 91bhp but with a loss of 9Nm in the torque figure.  

These changes are a mid-life revision as the car will undergo a full change in 2015. We can expect that Fiat will launch the facelifted Linea as a part of its expansion plans which it will implement next year.
