Like every year, the month of December is slack for most car manufacturers. Most of them have a different way of tackling with them; while few are offering heavy discounts, others are giving free insurance and accessories. Maruti Suzuki on the other hand has decided to launch limited edition models – earlier this week we saw the A-Star Aktiv and now the Alto K10 Knightracer takes a bow.
The new Alto K10 Nightracer edition gets 11 new features for an additional cost of just Rs 13,490. This version is based on the LXi variant of the K10 with updates to both interiors and exteriors. Changes to the exteriors include rear-spoiler, Knightracer body graphics, wheel covers, side moulding and left ORVM. Additional features inside are JVC MP3 player with USB, Knighracer themed seat covers, rear parcel tray and steering cover.
Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing) Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, since the day of its launch, found immense appreciation amongst the performance-driven and value-conscious young buyers who always strive to do more in less time .The Alto K10 Knightracer is a special limited edition that adds to the Alto K10’s appeal with an enhanced style quotient. We are confident that this special edition will bring pride to the select owners.”
The limited edition is still powered by 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Serier engine producing 68bhp, with ARAI efficiency of 20.2kpl. Though, MSI has not confirmed any details regarding the number of examples or availability, it will ideally be on sale only this December.
