Mahindra receives over 5900 bookings on XUV500 in 2 days

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has received 5900 plus booking applications from customers within just 2 days of re-opening bookings for its XUV500. Bookings for the XUV500 had re-opened on 25th January across 19 cities as compared to the first phase of bookings that was available only across dealerships in 5 cities.

The second phase of bookings will be kept open for a period of 10 days from 25th January till 3rd February 2012. As a unique customer-centric measure, M&M has decided to undertake an XUV500 draw in this round of bookings in case the requests exceed 7200. This will help in ensuring a reasonable waiting period for the customers selected in a fair and transparent manner.

If the bookings cross the 7200 mark, M&M should reduce the booking period at reasonable entries ( say 8-10000 ). There is NO point in collecting money and then returning the same after earning huge interest.

The one sided stipulation of not providing interest on booking amount should it be returned for inability to book the car by M&M is unconscionable, unfair trade practice and will not stand the test in court. M&M should be better advised by their legal eagles if they have one....

As per the Information received from the Mahindra staff bookings crossed 12000 plus as on 31st jan.all india.Its not a booking for mahindra xuv500.It is only a lucky draw contest by paying Rs. 80000/-to mahindra.If you are selected then only booking will happen.they have already collected more than 1.5 crore from the public.If at all someone is selected in the draw ,they will have to pay Rs.1.5 lakh extra for the xuv500.Disel cess will on from 1st April onwards. its

This remember me the story of Kinetic Honda - first auto start scooter launch, that compant also did the same strategy so it not new for corporate world. But i really dont like such strategy as such type of things should come as an achivement of Hard earning and not by LUCK. I was very fond of this car and put my name for draw only because of my KID who love this car but for me if i win and take car home i will not have that attachment and feeling anymore to own a Mahendra car :(
