Chennai lad, Aditya Patel, made the best out of his pole position start for Race two of round 7 of the Scirocco R-cup at Oschersleben in Germany this weekend. The heavens opened up on Sunday afternoon. Although on pole position, the Chennai boy was still optimistic about his chances of a good finish. With Berke along side him in 2nd place and Lloyd in 3rd place, fireworks were expected heading into turn 1! Patel, after a fairly good start held his place till turn three where Lloyd made a brilliant pass to take the lead but even before the lap ended, Aditya grabbed the lead back from Lloyd. However, with 4 laps to go, Lloyd made his move again and this time making it stick.
Along with Lloyd went Ola Nillson as well. Two corners later, the two drivers then collided, handing the lead back to Aditya who then fought door to door with Junior driver, Moritz Ostereich. In the end however, it was Aditya who crossed the line first, less than half a second ahead of Ostereich and Championship winner Mateusz Lisowski. This win means that that Patel still has a chance of breaking into the top three in the championship with just one more race to go in the Championship at Hockenhiem.
