Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), will soon be setting up a greenfield plant in India. The company will be spending Rs. 400 crore for this very purpose. This plant will be utilised to build 1.5 lakh diesel engines. Though the plants' location is not finalised as of now, Â the company will be looking at expanding its reach throughout the country.

The engine for Hyundai's diesel cars is currently imported from South Korea and the third plant will certainly meet the growing demand of diesel vehicles in the Domestic market. We recently spotted the new Elantra too (read post here) and the news of a third plant, which awaits the go ahead of its parent company, has certainly boosted our hopes of seeing the car on Indian roads soon.
