In most markets that Mercedes Benz has a presence in has registered a good growth for the company in the month of January 2010 with India leading the way with more than 400% growth.

In China the sales have more than doubled year-on-year to 8300 units for Jan 2010; in Japan the company recorded 11% growth, Australia netted over 50%, South Korea more than 238% growth, and in South Africa a 12% increase and in India by a whopping 400% growth on a year on year for January 2010.

"Luxury is all about offering services and providing the best to the customers- and not just about sales numbers. Statistically we are the Numero Uno in terms of monthly sales for last two consequent months (December 2009- 334 units, Jan 2010- 403 units wholesale), however leadership in numbers is not the focal point of MB India as we maintained all along," said Dr. Aulbur, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
