Mercedes Benz India has launched the new E-Class (W212) Avant Garde, which will be available from Rs 4698000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The W212 will be available with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine which produces 272bhp and transmits power to the wheels via a 7G-Tronic transmission.

We think that Mercedes-Benz will add the E350 CDI engine as an option for diesel lovers. The new E-Class has been competitively priced considering the features the car has. The car features cornering lights and parking sensors as standard and the ‘Attention Assist’ system which keeps the driver’s drowsiness level under check. The new E-Class Avant Garde is also larger in every dimension compared to the old E-Class (W211).
