Offroad enthusiasts, your long vigil has finally come to a close! Toyota has introduced the much-awaited Fortuner, their soft-roader, at a price of Rs 18.4 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Fortuner will compete with SUVs like the Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi Outlander, Chevrolet Captiva, Suzuki Grand Vitara and Ford Endeavour. It will be available in a single variant possessing a 3.0-litre diesel engine with 170bhp, 343Nm and a manual transmission. The Fortuner will also possess ABS and twin airbags to keep its occupants safe. It will be available in five colours for the Indian market. Toyota has sold more than 250,000 Fortuners worldwide till date.
