Terrafugia Transition, a US based company has made a car which can fly as well. “The Flying Car” will be launched in 2011; will be a two-seater, which can travel 725km at a speed of about 115km/hr in air.

It will have a gasoline powered engine, with a front wheel drive and a propeller for the flight. The wings of the car fold in 30 seconds and the car can be parked like other normal cars. The car will cost around Rs 1 crore and the company’s testing so far has been very successful.

The Vice-President of the company said in an interview with the Canadian TV, "Our depositors represent a wide-cross section in terms of age, interests, and intended use of the vehicle. We have deposits from both experienced pilots and non-pilots who intend to earn their Sport Pilot certificate."
