Expensive cars will be able to reduce the fuel costs to half. Cars like Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and a few more could be available in either LPG or CNG variants.

Maruti has already started working to develop CNG variants for its various models. The Maruti 800, Wagon R; Hyundai Santro and Chevrolet Spark are already available in LPG variants. Toyota and Chevrolet have already launched the Innova and the Optra with alternative fuel options.
