Honda is expected to launch the Jazz by mid-2009. The Japanese manufacturer will launch its first hatchback for the Indian auto market.

The Honda Jazz will be powered by a 1.2l petrol engine. The Jazz will be based on the existing City’s platform and will share a proportion Honda city components to reduce the cost. The car will be equipped with features like ABS, airbags and G-CON. The Jazz will be priced a level below the City will compete with the premium hatchbacks in India.
