Ford Figo Aspire launched at Rs 4.89 lakh

Ford has launched the Figo Aspire sedan for a starting price of Rs 4.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The top-end diesel variant of the sub-four metre car with all the bells and whistles has been priced at Rs 8.24 lakh.

The Figo Aspire is available with both the petrol and diesel engine options in four trims levels – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus. The petrol variants are powered by the 1.2-litre engine tuned to produce 87bhp and 112Nm of torque. The diesel variants, on the other hand, use the 1.5-litre TDCi turbocharged mill that is the most powerful in the segment developing 99bhp and 215Nm of torque. Both of them come mated to the five-speed manual transmission. The ARAI fuel efficiency of the petrol and diesel engines is 18.16kmpl and 25.83kmpl respectively.

Apart from the above, the Figo Aspire is also available with 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine is tuned to produce a segment-leading 110bhp and 136Nm and is rated to deliver 17kmpl.

The Figo Aspire competes with the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zest and Honda Amaze in the compact sedan segment. The car is available in seven colours - ruby red, sparkling gold, oxford white, tuxedo black, deep impact blue, ingot silver and smoke grey.
