Tata Motors has sold 79,244 units globally in May 2015. This is a significant increase for the Mumbai-based automaker as it global sales number stood at 77,575 in May 2014. The cumulative wholesale for the fiscal stood at 1.56 lakh units as compared to 1.52 lakh units in the corresponding period last year.
Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in May 2015 stood at 50,181 units while the cumulative passenger vehicles wholesale for the fiscal was 1.01 lakh units. Jaguar Land Rover managed to sell 38,879 vehicles while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 31,532 vehicles.
We believe that this increase in number is down to new products in the portfolio across both Tata as well Jaguar Land Rover in the last one year.
