India-made Ford EcoSport might be exported to the US

Ford India might start exporting the EcoSport to the US market. If their plans work out, the compact SUV might go on sale in the United States from October 2017.

The Ford EcoSport is constantly achieving new landmarks in our country ever since it was introduced in 2013 for the Indian market. Marketed as the compact SUV, the vehicle became the talk of the town within no time. The sub-four-metre vehicle offers a decent package at a competitive price and its demand increased a lot here ever since its launch.

Mark Fields, Ford Motor chief executive, said, "In business, you never rule out from the beginning certain opportunities. But it all comes down to making sure first and foremost that wherever the product is manufactured, you want to make sure that it is high quality and meets the expectations of consumers."

The sporty looking, feature-loaded and aggressively priced EcoSport has been topping the sales chart for Ford India and achieving different sales milestones. We hope the car similarly creates a huge excitement when launched in America.
